C. (§9.5) Venue and Change of Judge
In the original chapter, the case of In re S.M.H, 160 S.W.3d 355 (Mo. banc 2005), is discussed regarding a parent’s right to a change of judge when a petition for termination of parental rights is filed as a supplemental pleading in a § 211.031, now RSMo Supp. 2019, case.
The authors of this supplement recommend that a separate cause of action be filed under § 211.447, RSMo Supp. 2019, rather than filing a supplemental pleading within the case filed under § 211.031.
