C. (§9.21) Grounds for Mandatory Filing of Termination Petition

The legislature now also requires that a petition for termination of parental rights be filed when a parent has been found guilty of or pled guilty to a felony violation of:

· Chapter 566, RSMo;
· Chapter 573, RSMo;
· § 568.020, RSMo Supp. 2019; or
· § 568.065, RSMo Supp. 2019,

when the child or any child within the family is the victim. Section 211.447.2(4), RSMo Supp. 2019.
