8.3 SUBPOENAS

Upon application of a party and pursuant to the Rules of the Virginia Supreme Court, the clerk is to issue, or the court on its own motion may issue, subpoenas requiring the attendance and testimony of witnesses and production of records, documents, or other tangible objects at any hearing. 27 In a civil case involving juveniles, an attorney who is an active member of the Virginia bar may issue a subpoena as an officer of the court, except in the
