8.14 DOUBLE JEOPARDY

The Double Jeopardy Clause of the United States Constitution applies to proceedings in the juvenile court, so that the potential deprivation of liberty in an adjudicatory or dispositional proceeding in juvenile court bars a later proceeding in a court of record based on the same facts. 79
