2. What Documents to Request?

The policy provision not only controls who can be subjected to an EUO, but also determines the scope of the documents the insured must produce in order to assist the insurer in assessing the loss. The notice must be reasonable in scope and is generally limited by the nature of the loss. It cannot be unlimited in scope and can only seek information material to the loss and investigation.1937
