The Curmudgeons Guide to Practicing Law would make a perfect gift for the new attorney or the older attorney who wants to improve his or her lawyer skills. It is written by a practicing attorney who pretends to be the cantankerous elderly law partner giving advice to new associate attorneys. Practical advice is given in many areas, from how to write a legal brief to how to build a successful law practice.

The book is a down-to-earth introduction to the practice of law, telling the reader how to argue in court and how to write, as well as giving helpful tips about dealing with clients. The author writes in a light and humorous style, which makes the material pleasantly digestible...
