Housing communities designed specifically for people ages 55+ have officially hit Utah. Why the age restriction? Because Utah is the sixth fastest growing state in the nation for people ages 65 and older, according to the Ken C. Gardner Policy Institute at the University of Utah.

As a large portion of Utah's population ages, the need for affordable housing projects that meet the needs of this new audience is emerging to the forefront of policy maker's agendas. Local home builders have been tasked to find ways to create appealing senior communities in Utah, rather than just cater to young families that are flocking to state's growing communities.

With these findings in mind, Ivory Homes has announced the release of several affordable 55+ communities. One of these communities is located within Daybreak, a community that is ranked by Where to Retire Magazine as one of the 50 Best Master Planned Communities in the U.S.
