§ 5.6.1 Form and Effect. If a court decides to reach the merits and entertain the action for declaratory judgment, the judgment rendered should contain a declaration of the legal status of the parties with respect to the justiciable controversy that spawned the action. Connolly v. Great Basin Insurance Co., 5 Ariz. App. 117, 423 P.2d 732 (1967) (hereinafter cited as “Connolly I”). In Connolly I, the issue was the coverage of an insurance policy.
