§ 5-3 Confession - Co-Defendants

Any statement or confession by either of the defendants can only be considered by you as it pertains to him and not to his co-defendant. Each confession must be considered separately.

As to any statement made by Defendant [Doe], you would only consider it as to him and not against his co-defendant. Likewise, any statement made by Defendant [Roe] would only be considered by you as to him and not against his co- defendant.
