Four female artists have been chosen for Columbia Metropolitan Airport's 2022-23 Art in the Airport program.

Emily Ward, Marie Boyd, Cait Malone and Laura Rohlfing will have their work displayed in the airport. Ward's work will be displayed from March until May, Boyd's from June until August, Malone's from September until November and Rohlfing's from December until February 2023.

"CAE's Art in the Airport program provides a fantastic opportunity and picturesque platform for local artists to showcase their works of art and unbelievably creative minds," Kim J. Crafton, CAE's director of marketing and air service development, said in a news release. "Additionally, this program enhances our travelers' experience, while simultaneously creating a sense of regional place within the airport. Once a traveler lands, these works of art will be the first artistic and cultural touchpoints they have to Columbia, S.C. and the region."

Ward is a Columbia native with a bachelor's degree in art history from the College of Charleston. She often incorporates the Lowcountry into her landscape paintings.
