4 companies join membership ranks of SCRA.

Four companies have been accepted as new South Carolina Research Authority member companies, while a Columbia-based startup has received new grant funding.

All SCRA member companies receive coaching, access to the organization's Resource Partner Network, eligibility to apply for grant funding, and the potential to be considered for an investment for SC Launch Inc., SCRA's investment affiliate.

Apex Orthopedic Technologies LLC, Bottle Titan LLC, Checkeeper LLC and Clear Water Care Coordination are new member companies, with Clear Water Care Coordination also receiving a development grant.

Apex Orthopedic Technologies, based in North Charleston, produces a new surgical device, the R-FIX System, which use rib fixation to treat early on set spinal deformity and certain types of adult deformity.

Greenville-based Bottle Titan LLC's alert system is calibrated for the commercial wine, liquor, beer, tobacco and food industries to track temperature, humidity, vibration and light.
