§ 36.1.6 Review of ADOSH Elevator Regulations. ADOSH is responsible for regulating elevators, escalators, personnel hoists, and similar conveyances. A.R.S. § 23-491.04; A.A.C. R20-5-501 et seq. Owners or operators of these types of conveyances must operate these devices safely and maintain them in compliance with ADOSH rules and regulations. A.R.S. § 23-491.02. Conveyances must be inspected annually and certified. A.R.S. § 23-491.07.
