§ 36.1.4 Review of Arizona Occupational Health and Safety Citations. ADOSH enforces federal health and safety regulations that are adopted by the State of Arizona. Arizona Employment Law Handbook § 8.1.1 (State Bar of Arizona, 2nd ed. 2007 & 2014 Supp.). The federal Occupational Safety and Health Standards that are adopted by Arizona retain their Code of Federal Regulations designation. See 29 C.F.R. §§ 1910, 1926. In addition to federal standards, Arizona has promulgated field sanitation regulations, A.A.C. R20-5-670, short-handle hoe regulations, A.A.C. R20-5-605, commercial diving standards, A.A.C. R20-5-602 to 602.01, and protections against retaliation for employees raising health or safety concerns, A.A.C. R20-5-680 to 682.
