Three more businesses have signed on at BridgeWay Station, bringing the search for retail tenants almost to a close for the Mauldin development.

Hughes Investments Inc. said in a news release that El Guapo Mexican restaurant, Le Chic Nails Lounge, and a coworking space called The Works at BridgeWay have joined enterprises ready to place their placards at the new development. BridgeWay Station this morning had just one remaining empty retail spot, the news release said.

El Guapo is billed as an upscale Mexican restaurant, brought to BridgeWay Station by Dean White, entrepreneur, investor and dealmaker based out of Charlotte. White opened Fiore Lounge in Charlotte in 2017, an American cocktail, wine and tapas restaurant in the heart of Ballantyne Village. White's newest venture, El Guapo, will occupy 4,500 square feet of ground floor retail space on BridgeWay Boulevard, and will feature both indoor and outdoor dining, the release said.

"We are very excited to welcome El Guapo to the 'Dining District' at BridgeWay Station," Phil Hughes, owner and president of Hughes Investments Inc., said in the release. "My whole family loves Mexican food, and we're very excited about their incredible plans for BridgeWay. They are a perfect fit with their exciting atmosphere and delicious food."

Le Chic Nails Lounge will occupy 2,850 square feet of ground floor retail space on BridgeWay Station's Main Street. The nail salon will offer a variety of manicures, pedicures, specialized nail art and waxing services. This will be the second salon by Owner Ashley Tran, who owns Rosy Nails and Spa on North Pleasantburg Drive at E. North Street.

Tran said in the release that her goals are to make customers feel rewarded and relaxed with each beauty treatment, and leave her salon with a sense of renewed vitality.

"At BridgeWay, we're building a community," Hughes said in the release. "We're thrilled for our exciting new restaurants, and we're equally excited for these two new spaces Le Chic Nails Lounge and The Works at BridgeWay that will serve the residents and community in different ways. We see these tenants not only as amenities for our community members, but also as ways to keep our tenant mix well-rounded, serving a multitude of desires and needs."
