3.6 ACTION UPON REFERRAL OF CASE
3.601 In General. A case is generally referred by an insurance carrier or by the health care provider or group. After receiving a case, the attorney should do the following.
3.602 Determine Case Status. The attorney should obtain and review all documents and other information available to determine the status of filing, service, and the due date for responsive pleadings. Contacting the clerk's office to confirm the date of service is recommended.
