§ 3.5.3.4 Record Presumptions. The appellate court has no responsibility to supplement the record in a civil appeal where the parties have done nothing in that regard. See Am. Nat’l Fire Ins. Co. v. Esquire Labs of Ariz., Inc., 143 Ariz. 512, 520, 694 P.2d 800, 808 (App. 1984). In the absence of a complete record on an issue, the court of appeals assumes the trial court evaluated all relevant factors and made any necessary findings to support its ruling. See Aguirre v. Robert Forrest, P.A., 186 Ariz. 393, 396-97, 923 P.2d 859, 862-63 (App. 1996).

When the items necessary to presenting an issue on appeal are omitted from the appellate record, the appellate court assumes they would support the trial court’s findings and conclusions.
