b. Retaliation

Employers, employment agencies, and labor organizations are barred from discharging, expelling, or otherwise discriminating against a person because he or she has filed a complaint under the Human Rights Law.¹³⁰ An employee’s complaint, alleging that the employer engaged in a pattern of harassment, intimidation, and retaliation after the employee filed an employment discrimination complaint with the EEOC and filed an employment discrimination action, stated a claim upon which relief could be granted under New York’s Human Rights Law.¹³¹
