B. CPL § 250.20 Crim. Proc. Notice

At arraignment the prosecutor may serve notice demanding information concerning an alibi defense.⁴¹² Because the prosecutor is required to serve this notice no later than 20 days after the defendant’s arraignment,⁴¹³ it is frequently served at that proceeding. The defense must then notify the prosecution of the alibi witnesses and related information within eight days’ service of the alibi demand.
