29.1 Overview. Arizona provides by statute that certain family members of a decedent can recover for their losses as a result of the decedent’s wrongful death. The personal representative of the decedent’s estate can also bring a wrongful death claim, either on behalf of those family members or, if none survive the decedent, on behalf of the decedent’s estate.
