Fishing group buys Wards Cove assets.

BSAI Partners LLC purchased the fishing assets of Seattle-based Wards Cove seafood company. BSAI Partners is a joint venture between Siu Alaska Corp. and Coastal Villages Pollock, wholly owned subsidiaries of the Norton Sound Economic Development Corp. and Coastal Villages Region Fund, respectively. The Brindle family founded Wards Cove in Ketchikan more than 80 years ago, and currently fishes and processes pollock, cod and crab in the Bering Sea, among other fishery-related interests across Alaska.
