The State of Alaska awarded four domestic-violence-prevention grants to groups in rural Alaska. The Department of Health and Social Services Division of Behavioral Health will oversee the grant program. Successful applicants proposed new ideas, demonstrated community involvement and set measurable goals to reduce domestic violence and sexual assault in

their regions, which include Bethel, Dillingham, Kodiak and Sitka.
