The Wyoming State Bar would like to thank the 784 registrants who participated in this year's Annual Meeting &Judicial Conference in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and helped the Bar achieve yet another successful conference! This year's event was hosted at Little America Hotel &Resort. In addition to the 316 attorneys and judges attending in person, there were 468 lawyers who enjoyed the CLE offerings from the comfort of their own homes or offices via live stream.

The Bar extends its appreciation to all of the Wyoming lawyers who traveled to Cheyenne on their own dime to speak for many of the CLE offerings. This event could not take place without those attorneys stepping up and offering to provide their expertise on numerous topics. Nor could it take place without the generosity of the sponsors. Wyoming law firms, private practitioners and many Wyoming businesses continue to be so supportive of the Bar's events. Thank You to all of this year's sponsors! (see page 33)

The Bar would also like to thank the members of the CLE Committee! They delivered a fantastic line-up of CLE programs with excellent speakers and panelists. Thank you to Kara Ellsbury, Chair, Nick Dillinger, Erik Oblasser, Emily Madden, Erin Murphy, Ben Reiter, Amy Pauli, Craig Silva and Hon. Dawnessa Snyder. Also a big thanks to Marie Ellis, CLE Director!

The Bar would like to thank Cheyenne lawyer Catherine Reeves for coordinating this year's Race Judicata.

The Annual Meeting also marks a change in leadership for the Wyoming State Bar. One president wraps up his/her year while another steps up to start his/hers. This year President Anna M. Reeves Olson passed the gavel to Lander attorney James T. Whiting. James began his service to the Bar back in 2017 when he was elected to serve as the Commissioner for the Ninth Judicial District. He served six years in that capacity before being elected Vice President in 2023. In August of this year, James was appointed to step into the role of President-Elect, filling the vacancy left by Hon. Erin E. Weisman being appointed to the Circuit Court bench in the Ninth Judicial District. The Bar is in good hands!

Throughout the Annual Meeting, several Wyoming attorneys were recognized for their efforts not only in their communities, but also around the state and to the legal profession as a whole.

President's Award

The Wyoming State Bar is pleased to announce that Weston W. Reeves, an attorney from Casper, is this year's recipient of the Bar's President's Award. The award was presented September 12th during the annual banquet held in conjunction with the Bar's Annual Meeting &Judicial Conference. The award is reserved for a person or organization that has special meaning to the President of

President Anna Reeves Olson presents this year's President's Award to her father, Wes Reeves. the Wyoming State Bar. This year's President, Anna Reeves Olson, also of Casper, recognized her father, Wes.

"Throughout my entire life, my father has been a constant source of unconditional love and patience. Although the importance of a good education was stressed in my home, I was never a strong student growing up. Instead, I was in remedial reading and math classes, but my father never seemed disappointed in me even though I was disappointed in myself. He simply encouraged me to keep going and to try as hard as I could, but if I did not get a good grade, not to be too hard on myself. When I graduated from law school, he gave me a job when no one else would hire me. Since that time, he has taught me everything I know about litigation and professionalism. He has also reminded me to always be myself and find my own way to practice law instead of trying to copy someone else. I can never repay him for the wonderful life and practice that he has given me," said Olson.
