2020 African American history calendar to be unveiled.

The S.C. Department of Education will unveil the 2020 South Carolina African American history calendar on Oct. 8 at the Koger Center for the Arts.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. at 1051 Greene St.

Launched in 1989, the calendar aims to educate students about the contributions of distinguished black citizens who have connections to South Carolina.
