2019 marks Old Dominion Freight Line's 85th year in business. From our humble beginnings as a single truck and a single route growing into one of the largest less-than-truckload carriers in the nation, our success has always been rooted in our people. Our family atmosphere and strong culture is because of the strong people of our region--the Piedmont Triad.

Like Old Dominion, the Piedmont Triad has also grown over the years. Old Dominion's commitment to the Triad has only become stronger as the years go by. Our corporate office in Thomasville, N.C. employs more than 900 people with solid, well-paying jobs and a wide variety of career opportunities. Just a few miles away is one of our 235 service centers in Greensboro, which employs an additional 800 employees with plans for future growth in both profit and with new faces. In late 2019, we will open an additional 104 door service center in Kernersville, N.C., further expanding OD's presence in the Triad.
