2015 COBALT Class Works With Denver Urban Scholars

COBALT, the CBA's leadership training program, held its annual service project on August 5 at the Colorado State Capitol. Members of the 2015 COBALT class led middle and high school students who are part of Denver Urban Scholars on a downtown tour to meet various legal professionals in their respective working environments. The students learned about professional opportunities in the industry, how professionals got where they are, and how they can get there too. The journey continues on October 18, when Race for Success participants will run together in the Denver Rock 'n' Roll Marathon and volunteer for Denver Urban Scholars at its marathon booth. Denver Urban Scholars is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping metro Denver students graduate high school and enter higher education with a meaningful life plan for success.

ABOTA Recognizes Five Living Legends

The Colorado Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates recently honored five of its distinguished members as Living Legends: Ben Aisenberg, Michael Canges, Walter Gerash, Joe Jaudon, and Greg Martin. ABOTA's mission is to promote and protect the right to civil jury trials guaranteed by the Seventh Amendment. Members must have tried at least 10 civil jury trials to verdict. These five honorees exemplify the professionalism, civility, skill, and integrity to which ABOTA's members aspire, and ABOTA is grateful for their service to the organization.
