Bar News is a monthly compilation of news from the CBA, including sections and committees, administration, and local and specialty bar associations. It also includes notices of activities—past, present, and future—from local and national law-related organizations and groups. Constitution Day
During the week of September 17, volunteer attorneys celebrated Constitution Day by leading programs and activities in 27 third- and eighth-grade classrooms across Denver. The DBA Lawyers and Schools Committee provided a number of suggested activities from which attorneys, in consultation with teachers, could choose. A number of students opted to create social media campaigns arguing for ratification of the First Amendment. Peg Perl, co-chair of the DBA Lawyers and Schools Committee and senior counsel for Colorado Ethics Watch, emphasized how refreshing it was to examine legal issues from the students' perspectives and to have the opportunity to reflect on some of the founding principles of the American legal system.

CBA President Loren Brown Visits EPCBA
Loren Brown visited with members of the El Paso County Bar Association on September 9. The lunchtime event was held at the Pinery at the Hill in Colorado Springs.
