Mark Beese and Nat Slavin Inducted into 2014 Hall of Fame

The Hall of Fame Award honors outstanding Individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the Legal Marketing Association and the legal marketing industry through their high level of leadership, their dedication to the advancement of the profession, and their professional experience and capabilities. Throughout their careers, 2014 Hall of Fame inductees Mark Beese (pictured top) and Nat Slavin (pictured bottom) have made their mark on the legal marketing profession in numerous unique and innovative ways.

With more than 20 years of experience in legal marketing, Mark Beese serves as the president of leadership for lawyers, LLC, a consultancy focused on helping lawyers become better leaders and business developers. Beese s work has been recognized through his acceptance of numerous awards from a number of esteemed marketing and business organizations. He has also extended his expertise to LMA, serving as a former board member and past president of the Rocky Mountain legal Marketing Association.

Nat Slavin is a founder and partner of the wicker park Group, where he plays an integral role in the company's program offerings, in addition to writing his monthly column Interactions, which explores the issues that challenge legal departments, law firms and their business advisors. The author of more than 100 articles on legal department management, Slavin also co-founded and published "Business without Borders." within LMA, Slavin has fulfilled the roles of president and board member, and he currently resides on the executive committee of LMA's southern California chapter.

Ohio chapter Receives chapter of the Year Award

The outstanding Chapter award celebrates LMA chapters that have gone "above and beyond" to drive membership growth and continually find new ways to add value for members across the state. The Ohio chapter, this year's award recipient, has expanded its influence and increased membership by 18 percent through its innovative partnerships, academic aspirations and charity events. In June 2013, the ohio chapter hosted a panel discussion called "outside the Box," which included professionals from accounting, web services and health care. For the first time, the chapter then broadcasted the program all across Ohio, from Cleveland to Columbus and Cincinnati.
