The In Memoriam section lists the name, date of birth where available, and date of death of deceased attorneys, JDs, judges, and legal professionals. Reader-submitted tributes of deceased attorneys and legal professionals, including those listed at the top of the In Memoriam section, are welcomed. Tributes should provide information about the deceased’s legal career. Photographs are encouraged. Tributes will be published as space is available and as the publication schedule allows. Tribute

Clifford J. Calhoun

Clifford Calhoun was a brilliant lawyer, scholar, and teacher. He was also a self-effacing man of enormous integrity and decency. Cliff was born in Fairfield, Iowa in 1936, and he died in Burlington, Iowa on June 25, 2013. After graduating from Burlington High School in 1954, Cliff attended Harvard College. After serving in the Army for two years, Cliff entered Harvard Law School. He graduated in 1963, practiced law in Ohio for five years, and moved to Colorado to join the University of Colorado School of Law (CU Law) faculty.
