Bennett S. Aisenberg and Loren M. Brown Honored at Bar Foundation Dinner

Ben Aisenberg was recognized with the Award of Merit, the Colorado Bar Association’s highest honor, during the Colorado Bar Foundation’s Annual Dinner on January 11. The longtime sole practitioner served as president of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association (CTLA) from 1984 to 1985, president of the Denver Bar Association (DBA) from 1991 to 1992, and president of the CBA from 1998 to 1999. In 2003, he received the DBA’s Award of Merit. He also has been honored by the Sam Cary and Asian Pacific American Bar Associations. Gary L. McPherson Outstanding Young Lawyer of the Year Loren Brown also was honored at the dinner. The award is given annually to a young lawyer (37 years of age or younger or admitted to the bar fewer than three years) with an outstanding record of professional success and community service achievements, as well as a strong commitment to civic participation. Brown, a shareholder with Donelson Ciancio & Grant, P.C., is a former president of the Adams Broomfield Bar Association (ABBA); a fellow of the Colorado Bar Foundation; a member of the CTLA; and a graduate and executive committee member of COBALT, the CBA’s leadership training program. In 2012, he and fellow members of the Seventeenth Judicial District Access to Justice Committee were recognized as "citizens of the year" and presented the Liberty Bell Award by the ABBA. In 2011, the ABBA also awarded him the Volunteer Attorney of the Year Award.
