Notwithstanding the book's disclaimer that it is intended "to provide general information with regard to the subject matter covered," Douglas Scott MacGregor has done a masterful job of accumulating in one resource an exhaustive and highly detailed explanation of the Uniform Common Interest Ownership Act (Uniform Act) and its version enacted in Colorado (CCIOA). The author clearly enjoys writing about his field of expertise and guiding his colleagues in an area filled with pitfalls and traps for the unwary and subtle distinctions with significantly different outcomes. Although unstated, his purpose, well achieved, was to give every lawyer who chooses to practice in this field full access to the law, analyses, and planning and drafting tips. Although his Master of Social Work degree no doubt serves him well in dealing with the anxiety we often experience with homeowners...
