DBA Honors Member Contributions at Annual Party
The Denver Bar Association (DBA) hosted its annual awards party on June 6 at the Ralph L. Carr Colorado Judicial Center. The event honored four members who have made extraordinary contributions to the legal community.
• Charley Garcia, Award of Merit . Hon.
• Alex Martinez, Judicial Excellence Award .
• Karen Spaulding, Volunteer of the Year Award
• Jaclyn Casey, Young Lawyer of the Year Award.
The event also served as an opportunity for guests to welcome incoming DBA President Dan McCune and to thank outgoing DBA President Jim Benjamin for his service to the association.

Davis Award Nominations Sought
Nominations are invited for the 2013 Richard Marden Davis Award to honor attorneys under the age of 40 who have demonstrated excellence as a lawyer and leadership in Denver's civic, educational, and charitable activities. The award was established by Davis Graham & Stubbs, the family of Dick Davis, and the Denver Bar Foundation in 1992 to recognize successful and community-minded young attorneys in private and public practice, and to inspire new members of the Denver legal community. The 2012 Davis Award recipient was Franz Hardy of Gordon & Rees. Nominations are due September 1.
