The LMA Hall of Fame Awards honor individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the legal marketing industry. In its premiere year, 2007, it had 13 members. These members represent the most exceptional levels of experience and leadership in legal marketing. The Hall of Fame Awards recognize decades-long contributions made by marketers for the benefit of our industry, LMA and our community of professionals.

Nomination Process

LMA members and other industry professionals are invited to nominate candidates, who must be LMA members in good standing and active in the profession for a minimum of 15 years. Each year up to five people are eligible.

Criteria include:

* Professional experience, thought leadership and strengths

* Advancement of the profession

* Demonstrated service as a role model and mentor

* Significant, measureable service and contribution to LMA

2011 Hall of Fame Judges and Inductees

The 2011 judges' panel included the following individuals. Several of these individuals were past winners of the LMA Hall of Fame Award.

* Joe Calve, chief marketing officer, Morrison & Foerster LLP

* Jennifer Larivee, director of marketing, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP

* Deborah McMurray, CEO and strategy architect, Content Pilot LLC--Hall of Fame inductee 2008

* Roberta Montana, chief visionary officer, The Legal Mocktail--Hall of Fame inductee 2008

* Sally Schmidt, president, Schmidt Marketing, Inc.--Hall of Fame inductee 2007
