Young Professionals Golf TournamentJune 6, 2009

On June 6, the CBA YLD is co-hosting a golf tournament with the Young Professionals Committee of the Colorado Society of CPAs and the Young Advisors Team of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. All Colorado young lawyers are invited to attend. This is a great opportunity to network with professionals from around the state.

The tournament will be held at Deer Creek Country Club in Littleton. Proceeds will benefit young adult cancer treatment and research. Please join us for a fun-filled day benefiting a great cause. For more information, please contact Julie Schmidt at jschmidt@bfw-law.com.

Join the Young Lawyer Mountain Bikers

The sun is shining, the trails are dry, and the mountain biking season is here. The CBA YLD mountain bike group has already begun scheduling off-road rides along the Front Range. All skill levels are welcome to join us and no one will be left behind! To subscribe to our e-mail list for announcements of new rides and trails, please contact James Garts at garts@pelegrinradeff.com.

Help Plan Senior Law Day

The CBA's Civic and Community Affairs Subcommittee is looking for young lawyers to join its ranks. Members will help coordinate the 2009 Senior Law Handbook and plan Senior Law Day. This is an ideal opportunity to give back to the community while building relationships with experienced trust and estate and elder law practitioners from around the state. For more information, contact Heather Clark at hclark@cobar.org or (303) 824-5350.

Earn Pro Bono Honors-- Volunteer at the Rocky Mountain Children's Law Center

The CBA YLD is recruiting volunteers to help out at the Rocky Mountain Children's Law Center. Join us in screening potential cases and providing basic information to teens and young adults in need of legal services. Young lawyers will have the opportunity to earn pro bono hours. All volunteers receive training and are scheduled to work a three-hour shift. For more information, contact Tiffany Warner at twarneresq@gmail.com.
