David William Becker, Jr. is a plastic surgeon certified by two American Boards of Medical Specialties. An inactive Colorado attorney, Becker performs peer review at a geriatric psychiatric hospital that provides care primarily for patients on Medicare--beckerdw@msn.com.

Aspen Publishers published the third edition of the Social Security and Medicare Answer Book in December 2006. To ensure up-to-date material, Aspen Publishers supplements the hardcover edition annually with a soft-cover supplement. The 2009 Cumulative Supplement, published in September 2008, is almost as large as the hardcover third edition.

Author David A. Pratt, a Professor of Law at Albany Law School, frequently addresses business and professional groups and is senior editor of the Journal of Pension Benefits.
