Definition
"Young" lawyers are 38 years old or younger or have been licensed to practice law three years or less. Young lawyers automatically are members of the Colorado Bar Association (CBA) Young Lawyers Division (YLD).
Mission Statement
The mission of the CBA YLD is to be a liaison to young lawyers of local bar associations throughout Colorado; to provide public service information and assistance to communities; and to provide professional development opportunities for young lawyers practicing in Colorado. The YLD fulfills this mission by sponsoring a number of programs that benefit young lawyers and the surrounding communities. For more information, please visit www.cobar.org (click on "Inside the Bar," then "Young Lawyers Division").
Get Involved
The CBA YLD has a number of programs, projects, and events throughout the year in which young lawyers can participate. Below is a list of just a few, along with the YLD contact. More detailed information is available on the YLD website. If you would like to volunteer to work on YLD projects, please contact Erin Hickey at ehickey@geromeandhickey.com.
