After a half-century of publishing a traditional, printed "Bar Journal," the Board of Governors and the editorial board have embarked on a different method of delivering thoughtful articles on legal topics of interest to New Hampshire practitioners. The editorial board hopes that you will provide us with your suggestions for improving this Internet-based publication. The delivery method has changed but the objective is still the same as it was 50 years ago: to keep New Hampshire lawyers current on evolving areas of the law.

There is a second change in the Bar Journal that makes this issue very special and noteworthy. After many decades of writing "Lex Loci" for the Bar Journal, Charles DeGrandpre will be stepping down as author of that section. He has made "Lex Loci" the most widely read section of Bar Journal. Over the years, he has been, in turn, scholarly, feisty, outspoken -- and widely respected for the skills and insights that he brought to readers. A collection of his "Lex Loci" articles would show how significantly New Hampshire law has evolved during the past decades, especially with the emergence or development of antitrust law, limited liability corporations, medical malpractice law, and corporate law, to name just a few areas of interest. Charles DeGrandpre chronicled all of these developments; and for his perseverance, his wit and his ability to provide us with a framework and points of reference, we pay him tribute.

The articles published in this issue of Bar Journal cover a wide range of topics, including dispute resolution, trust law, postnuptial agreements, fraud, and the First Amendment and zoning ordinances.
