Several years ago, I was confronted with an arbitration agreement my client had signed with a long-term care facility on behalf of her mother. The agreement, clearly written by an attorney for the corporate parent, provided for one set of onerous procedures for the claimant to follow, with no reciprocal requirements for the corporation.
