James R. Flett

James R. Flett died on November 16, 2006. He was 66. Flett obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota and his J.D. degree from the University of North Dakota Law School. After working as a staff attorney with Vermont Legal Aid, Flett established a prisoners' rights program in Vermont. He also established St. Cloud Area Legal Services in Minnesota. Flett practiced law with his brother Charles in Arvada since 1982. He was a member of the CBA for twenty-five years. Flett is survived by his wife Marcia and two daughters. Eugene S. Hames
Eugene S. Hames died on November 23, 2006. He was 86. After serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, Hames attended the University of Minnesota. In 1950, he relocated to Denver, where he formed the law firm of Wood, Ris and Hames and practiced as a trial lawyer. After retiring from the practice of law, Hames taught English as a second language to immigrants and enjoyed fishing and skiing. He was a CBA member for more than fifty years. Hames is survived by his wife Verna, three children, and two grandchildren. Contributions may be made in Hames's name to the 10th Mountain Division Foundation, 133 S. Donald E. Johnson
Donald E. Johnson died on December 5, 2006. He was 60 Johnson was a graduate of LaSalle College and Villanova Law School. Johnson worked with the District Attorney's office in Philadelphia before relocating to Colorado in 1986. He served as head legal counsel for Burlington Northern Railway for many years and later worked as a solo practitioner. He was a CBA member for nearly twenty years. Johnson is survived by his wife Peggy and three children. Contributions in Johnson's name may be made to the American Cancer Society...
