William R. Aman
William R. Aman died on September 30, 2006. He was 84. After
serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, Aman attended
law school at the University of Colorado. He represented the
El Paso County Public Trustee in real estate foreclosure
proceedings. Aman also served as a deputy district attorney
and worked in private practice, specializing in real estate
law, with a focus on real estate title opinions. In 1962
Aman formed the law firm of Aman and Hanes, which eventually
merged with Holland & Hart LLP. Aman practiced with
Holland & Hart until his retirement. He was a member of
the El Paso County Bar Association
Aman was a longtime member of the Manitou Springs Kiwanis
Club. He is survived by three children and four
grandchildren
John Pierce Donley II
John Pierce Donley II died on February 10, 2007. He was 67.
Donley earned his JD degree from the University of Colorado.
He started his own law firm in Greeley, where he was elected
to the City Council. He served as a Colorado State Senator
from 1982-87, during which time he also was general counsel
for an agricultural chemical company. After his retirement,
Donley worked as a real estate broker, consulted for friends
and colleagues as an attorney, and taught classes at Aims
Community College in Greeley. He was a member of the Weld
County Bar Association and the CBA.
An avid outdoorsman, Donley enjoyed camping, fishing, and
hunting. He is survived by his wife Lisa Wall Donley, four
children, and several grandchildren. Contributions in
Donley's name may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care
of Northern Colorado, Inc.

being accepted to establish the John P. Donley Memorial
Scholarship Fund in governmental studies at the University of

Kenneth C. Groves
Kenneth C. Groves died on February 18, 2007. He was 70. After
earning his JD degree from the University of Colorado School
of Law in 1960, he practiced law in Denver for more than
