RICHARD MARDEN DAVIS AWARD TO BE PRESENTED AT ANNUAL DINNER
Timothy R. Macdonald is the 2004 Recipient
In 1992, the family of Richard Marden Davis, the law firm of
Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP, and the Denver Bar Foundation
established the Richard Marden Davis Award, to be presented
each year to a "Denver lawyer under the age of 40, who
has combined excellence as a lawyer with creative, civic
cultural, educational and charitable leadership." The
2004 Award Dinner will be held on January 12, 2005.
The 2004 recipient of the prestigious award is Timothy R.
Macdonald, an associate in the litigation practice group of
Arnold & Porter LLP. Macdonald's practice emphasizes
complex civil litigation. Macdonald is licensed to practice
law before the Colorado and Arkansas Supreme Courts, as well
as in the First, Ninth, Tenth, and Federal Circuit Courts. He
is an adjunct professor at the University of Denver Sturm
College of Law. Macdonald graduated magna cum laude from the
University of Michigan ("UM") Law School. He also
holds a Masters in Public Policy from UM. In 1997, Macdonald
received a Bates Fellowship from UM, and lived and worked for
a human rights law group in Capetown, South Africa.

EVENT
"Around the World in Wines" was Theme of 11th
Annual Event: The Legal Aid Foundation's
("LAF") 11th Annual wine- and beer-tasting event in
October 2004 in Denver featured a stellar collection of wines
from outside North America. The collection of wines was
coordinated by Steve Mohler (pictured above right) from Above
the Rim Fine Wines liquor store in Denver.
The event raised more than $17,000. LAF thanks ticket-buyers
