ON APRIL 29, CLF HONORED RETIRING BROWN University Professor Harold Ward with the Senator John H. Chafee Environmental Leadership Award. CLF President Philip Warburg presented the award during a luncheon ceremony at a day-long retreat attended by more than 50 of CLF's board members from throughout New England. As a scientist, lawyer and long-time CLF Board member, Harold has demonstrated strong civic leadership in addressing global, regional and state-level environmental challenges. As an educator, he has dedicated his life to teaching environmental values and inspiring emerging generations of concerned, informed citizens.
