Robert E. Bluhm died November 1, 2003. He was 68. Bluhm was born in Rantoul, Illinois. He received a Bachelor's degree from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa; a Master's degree from the University of Illinois; a Ph.D. from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley; and a J.D. degree from the University of Denver ("DU") College of Law. Bluhm had several occupations throughout his life including policeman and university professor (University of Illinois and U.S. Air Force Academy). He served thirty-one active and reserve years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Lt. Colonel. His tours of duty included Vietnam, as well as Germany and Turkey during the "Desert Storm" offensive. Bluhm was admitted to practice law before the U.S Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and Colorado Supreme Court. He became licensed to practice law in Colorado in 1973 and was a member of the Colorado and El Paso County Bar Associations for twenty-nine years. Bluhm is survived by his wife Eunice, two daughters, and eight grandchildren Contributions in Bluhm's memory may be made to National Jewish Medical and Research Memorial Fund (for interstitial lung disease), 1400 Jackson St., Denver, CO 80206.

Brighton attorney Edward A. Brown died February 17, 2004. He was 72. Brown was born in Holdrege, Nebraska. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration from Hastings College and a J.D. degree from the University of Colorado School of Law, where he was president of his senior class. Brown was licensed to practice law in Colorado in 1958. He maintained a forty-six-year partnership with the law firm of Daniel, McCain & Brown LLC. Brown joined the American Bar Association in 1958 and the Colorado and Adams County Bar Associations in 1959. He had memberships in several CBA Sections, including Agricultural and Rural Law, Business Law, Real Estate Law, and Trust & Estate Law. In 1991, the CBA recognized Brown with a "Certificate of Professionalism." He also was a member of the American Legion, having served in the U.S. Navy on the Island of Malta.
