Violence and the Workplace Conference: On May 9, 2002, the Third Annual Violence and the Workplace Conference will take place at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, 6901 Wadsworth Blvd. This program explores the impact of domestic violence on the workplace. It presents practical tools to minimize the risk of serious incidents of domestic violence and provides resources to help develop a safer workplace Topics to be explored include: "What Is Domestic Violence?"; "Legal Issues"; "Security Issues"; "Working with Victims and Offenders" "Practices to Decrease Liability and Increase Morale"; "Policy Development and Implementation"; and "How to Coach Supervisors: Coworker Fear and Resentment." Career Fair: Colorado State Representative Dan Grossman and attorney Norm Mueller attended a Denver Public Schools "Career Fair" with CBA staff members Michael Valdez and Sarah Wagner at East High School on November 7, 2001. Throughout the morning, students visited with various professionals who volunteered their time to talk with the students and answer their questions.
