Richard C. Cockrell, a retired Denver attorney, died in
October 2001. He was 76. Cockrell joined the Colorado Bar
Association in 1950 and was a member of the Business Law and
Trust & Estate Law Sections. He also was an Honor Life
Member of the Denver Bar Association
James Ottis Moore of Denver died on November 5, 2001. He was
75. Moore was born in Springfield, Illinois. He served in the
U.S. Army during World War II. He married Marie-Annick
DeCourbois in 1982. He was a lawyer and a judge. Surviors
include his wife and three children
Denver attorney Larry Trattler died on December 28, 2001. He
was 54. Trattler received his B.A. degree from the University
of Illinois and his J.D. from the University of Denver
College of Law. He was admitted to practice law in Colorado
in 1973 and joined the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations
that year. Trattler was a past president of the Colorado
Trial Lawyers Association. He was an officer, a member of the
execuitve committee, and a board member of the Trial Lawyers
for Public Justice. He served as chair of the Council of
State Presidents, was a member of the board of governors, and
a member of the executive committee of the Association of
Trial Lawyers of America. He was a member of the Insurance
Reform/Ballot Initiative Task Force, a team of Colorado
consumer advocates, attorneys, insurance companies, and
health care providers assembled to study insurance reform. He
