NDIA Recognizes Pearl Harbor Survivor's Widow

NDIA's Undersea Warfare Division sponsored the annual Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day on December 6, at the Navy Memorial in Washington, D.C. Pictured are Charles L. NORAD Chief Speaks to Rocky Mountain Chapter

Lt. Gen. Kenneth R. Pennie, director of the North American Air Defense Command (NORAD), was the November luncheon speaker for NDIA's Rocky Mountain Chapter. He gave a brief history of NORAD from its inception in 1958 through the present. NORAD's indications and warning capability has increased continually as response times to changing threats have shortened over the past 50 years. How NORAD will participate in homeland security is being worked out under the Defense Department Unified Command Plan.
