Economic Survey: The CBA "2000 Economic Survey"
("Survey") is available to CBA members online at
[http://www.cobar.org/group/index.cfm?category=649&EntityID=dplpm]
The Survey includes information on the median income of
Colorado attorneys and income by field of law, size of firm
or organization, years in practice, and geographic area. It
also contains information on hourly billing rates, number of
hours worked per week, and overhead expenses and gross
receipts per attorney. Legal assistant and secretary salaries
also are included. A printed version of the Survey is
available for purchase. Cost: $20, members; $45, nonmembers

Diversity Awareness: On April 2, 2001, the CBA presented the
University of Denver ("DU") College of Law and the
CBA Diversity in the Legal Profession Committee with a check
for $2,500 to fund DU's student-organized "Diversity
Awareness Week," which was held April 2-6. The donation
was made possible through a grant to the CBA from Lawyers for
One America and LexisNexis, and is intended to promote the
advancement of minorities in the legal profession.

Arthritis Award: A hearty congratulations is extended to CBA
member and long-time Denver attorney John Low, who was
selected as the recipient of the 10th Annual Eleanor P
Williams Arthritis Award. The award is presented by the Rocky
Mountain Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation to a Colorado
lawyer who has provided dedicated service to the legal
