Mock Trials: The Colorado Bar Association 2001 competitive mock trial season begins November 1, 2000. This year's case involves a doctor charged with murder. The CBA encourages members to participate in this season's mock trial by coaching teams in as many high schools as possible Mock trials are a great way to connect with and mentor kids. CBA SECTIONS AND COMMITTEES

The CBA Ethics Committee gathered for their annual mountain meeting in Steamboat on July 15-16, 2000. Justice Nancy Rice spoke to the group about the many aspects of the judiciary, including being a Supreme Court Justice.

LOCAL BAR ASSOCIATIONS

CBA President Dale Harris, his wife Toni Harris, and the CBA entourage (Greg Martin, Jo Ann Viola Salazar, Dave Ells, Diane Hartman, and Judy Slason) concluded the annual "Western Slope swing" in Cedaredge and Grand Junction, July 23-24, 2000. The CBA group visited the Delta County and Mesa County Bar Associations. Each year, the CBA president and various CBA staff members and officers visit the local bar associations to inform members of CBA services and benefits, as well as to address members' concerns.
