In 1992, Arrested Development exploded onto the pop music scene with funky beats and socially conscious lyrics. Two years later, the hottest band in America had simply disappeared. Now, the group's front man, Speech, is back with a solo CD. So where's he been all this time?

"I've had very high highs and very low lows. Arrested Development performed in front of 250,000 people at Woodstock, and there were times I performed solo in front of 15 people. There were times I wanted to cry backstage because of the difference, and just having to be humbled in such a radical way. But I did go out and perform in front of the 15 people. It taught me character and perseverance, and I think my new songs show a Speech who's learned humility, learned about being grateful for the job I have, and the music I'm able to write."
