A settlement has been reached in a case involving the family of a 32-year-old man a Wood County deputyshot and killed in 2019.

Thecivil suit (Western District of Wisconsin, 20-CV-108) against the Wood County Sheriff's Office was settled for $2.35 million.

Mark Thomsen, of Gingras, Thomsen and Wachs, was the attorney for the family, whileTimothy Johnson, Samuel Hall and Benjamin Sparks represented the defendants.
