2.1 JURISDICTION

Jurisdiction of the probate of wills ¹ and of the qualification of an administrator if there is no will ² lies with the circuit court, the clerk of the circuit court, and the deputy clerk of the circuit court for the county or city in which:

1.	The decedent has a house or known place of residence;
2.	If none, then where there is real estate that is devised or owned by the decedent; or
3.	If none, then where the decedent dies or has estate.
